Membership to the Whistler society is available internationally to individuals with an interest in the life and work of James McNeill Whistler, as well as the extensive circle of individuals he both knew and influenced. Our diverse membership includes academics, writers, and historians, alongside artists, art dealers, curators, teachers, and students. Enthusiasts from all walks of life are welcome, each seeking to engage with and contribute to the rich history and legacy of one of the most influential figures in British art history.

All applicants must download and fill out the application form. Current membership rates are outlined below.

 
If you wish to pay online through our PayPal account, please choose the option appropriate to you:

The annual subscription is £35.

There are special rates:

for young people (under 25) and full time students £15.

For two people at the same address £55.


 

 

 

 

It would help the society if you could make your subscription payment by Direct Debit, as this is the most cost-effective way for the Society to manage subscriptions. Alternatively, you can pay by bank transfer, by cheque or online through PayPal.  If you are paying by Direct Debit or cheque, please complete the Membership Application form. For information on how we manage your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy available at the bottom of this page.

The Whistler Society is an educational charity, and is eligible to receive Gift Aid from the UK government. Provided that you are a UK taxpayer, the scheme enables us to reclaim 25p for every £1 you give to us from  HM Revenue & Customs.  Using your UK home address, please fill in the Gift Aid Declaration form and send it with your Application form and Direct Debit Mandate or cheque to:
